About Wofford College

Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina, Wofford College was founded in 1854 as an independent liberal arts college which now has around 1,500 students. The college provides bachelor’s degrees in 26 fields of study and it is affiliated with the United Methodist Church.

Wofford College is located very close to the business district of its home city, Spartanburg, and it has operated on its original campus designated a National Historic District in 1974 and since 2002, it has been built as an arboretum, a huge green area for the students.

Wofford College Athletics are the Terriers whose colors are old gold and black and who compete in the NCAA Division I and also in SoCon.
